4-05-04 17:59 THE CREETINS ONE LAST FIX By MIKE

Back in 1996: Frederick (voc, git) meets his all-time faves AC/DC and decides to start a band with his brother Matthias (drums). Together with Hendrik (bass) The Creetins play honest and straight-to-the-point punkrock with catchy melodies and harmonies that get stuck in your ears!
You can easily realize that these three young guys from Kiel/Germany have been taught by the great masters of the punkrock highschool like the Ramones, Misfits and even Face to Face. They have also been influenced by the early 80´s HC/Punk scene with bands like the Faction or Black Flag. These roots are responsible for their bonecrushing mixture of powerful and melodic Punkrock!
During the last eight years the Creetins played more than 200 shows – they made a lot of friends in Europe with their breathtaking live shows!
In 2001 the bastards released their debut album “Have you ever hit the ground…” on german punkrock label Vitaminepillen Records – it became a success in the punkrock scene. Shortly after that the EP “It´s all riot!” followed in order to prepare the punk kids for the first european tour of the Creetins in 2002. Meanwhile Punkrock label Nitroala Records released the debut “Have you ever hit the ground…” in Brazil in summer 2002!
Their second full-length release “4 seconds to get over it” is available since March 2003 and was promoted on their second european tour together with Voice of a Generation from Sweden. Vitaminepillen and Diapazam Records (Sweden) released a special Creetins/Voice of a Generation split 7” for this tour.
In spring 2004 The Creetins hit the road again – this time a european tour with one of the coolest Surfpunk bands around, the Travoltas from the Netherlands. Right now The Creetins are looking forward to record their next album which is going to be out in early 2005!
So, what more could a young punk band want? This is just the beginning... cause there´s no stoppin' the Creetins from rockin'!

H-Block 101 Group Dynamics - Thursday 15. of July
We're not doing anything new - so fucken what!?
1993 - all I see around me is grungy, heavy metal crap. No one cares about decent songs or pure energy
- all they want is for it to be heavy, man... and to smoke some dope - OK, taking it a bit too far...
but it all seemed pretty apathetic to me....

RAY CHARLES GEORGIA ON MY MIND - Friday 2. of July
Ray Charles was the musician most responsible for developing soul music. Singers like Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson also did a great deal to pioneer the form, but Charles did even more to devise a new form of black pop by merging '50s R&B with gospel-powered vocals, adding plenty of flavor from contem... Circle Jerks I wanne destroy you - Thursday 10. of June
They came from suburban Los Angeles, with a sound that seemed to flip a middle finger to the Southern California sun. Ticked off, amps turned up and in your face, these were the bands known as Black Flag, the Circle Jerks, the Adolescents, T.S.O.L., the Germs and Fear. Enter: hard-core punk. Led by ... [more]

FOUR TOPS MEDLEY 1965 - Wednesday 2. of June
Formed in 1954, the Four Tops--Levi Stubbs, Reynaldo "Obie" Benson, Abdul "Duke" Fakir, and Lawrence Payton--are almost as legendary for their complete lack of personnel changes as they are for their monumental string of mid-'60s Motown hits. Their considerable post-Motown success speaks volumes for... [more]

RAMONES POISON HEART - Saturday 29. of May
Though there have certainly been brainier, artier, meatier, more philosophical, poetic and political punk rock bands than the Ramones, no one can truly compare with Queens' finest faux-bros. In 1975 they released their first album, probably one of the most perplexing debuts in rock history. The 14 b... [more]
